I started Flightless because I enjoy making others happy with the things that I bake. I called my business Flightless because when I was in the Navy and in college, I always felt a pressure to do something prestigious, like flying planes or going to law school. When pursuing those endeavors didn’t feel right and I couldn’t force myself to do them, I felt like a flightless bird on the ground, watching everyone doing those things flying above me. So, I turned back to what I knew would make me happy, baking for others. Now, I tend to bake French-inspired pastries, because those are what I love.
